Athlete Leader 360

The Athlete Leader 360 is built for the athletes who lead other athletes within their team or porogram. Their leadership effectiveness lives in influence, in how teammates experience them, and in the standards they set and reinforce. The 360 makes that influence visible and developable.

Athlete Leader 360 FAQs

Who rates an athlete leader?

Teammates, coaching staff, and (where appropriate) support staff or athlete development professionals. We recommend the observer group based on your program or team structure. For example, for a team captain it's usually six to ten teammates plus the head coach and one or two assistants.

Both. Many programs run the Athlete Leader 360 post season or competition as a development reflection for current leadership groups that will be continuing into the next season. Others use it pre-season with emerging leaders or current leaders to provide support and development during the season. The data is most valuable when followed by a structured coaching conversation or tailored development program.

Different role, different competencies. The Athlete Leader 360 measures leadership inside a peer group. Including their knowledge of self and their sport, being a guardian of team culture, and decision making.

The Coach 360 measures the leadership of athletes from a position of authority and the eight critical leadership effectiveness skills associated with holding a coaching role. Both can run side-by-side in the same program for a full leadership picture.

Athlete, peer, and coach feedback is aggregated so individual raters can't be identified. We're particularly careful with athlete feedback, protecting confidentiality is essential to getting honest data.
