DISC Profiles & DISC AI Coach
What is DISC?
DISC stands for Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. These are the four primary behavioral styles first identified by American psychologist William Moulton Marston in 1928.
A DISC assessment helps individuals and teams understand:
- how they tend to respond to challenges
- interact with others and their environment
- work at their preferred pace
- approach rules and procedures.
DISC is one of the most widely used behavioral assessment frameworks in the world for:
- team development
- communication
- leadership
- coaching.
What is a DISC Profile?
A DISC Profile is a behavioral assessment report that identifies a person’s preferred ways of:
- communicating
- making decisions
- taking action
- working with others.
Team8 People’s DISC Profiles are context-specific, which means they are designed to be directly relevant to how the person actually works, whether that is:
- playing sport
- coaching a team
- leading a business
- teaching a class
- operating in the field.
Are DISC Profiles reliable and valid?
Yes. Team8 People’s DISC Profiles have been validated by the Assessment Standards Institute (ASI) for reliability and construct validity.
The validation applies across the Team8 People DISC Profile range, including the underlying framework used to generate and populate the reports.
Because Team8 People owns and develops the tools directly, we continue to refine and enhance them as behavioral science, client needs, and practical application evolve.
Is Team8 People a distributor of another company's DISC Profiles?
No. Team8 People have our own proprietary DISC Profile Reports, developed in partnership with Assessments 24×7 in 2024, as well as our proprietary EI 360 and Leadership 360 tools.
Being the developer, not a reseller, means we can:
- continue to enhance the tools and supporting reports over time
- set our own pricing without third-party royalties or license fees
- build tightly integrated tools such as the AI Coach that competitors sourcing DISC from external providers can’t deliver.
What DISC Profiles does Team8 People offer?
Team8 People offers a range of context-specific DISC Profiles:
- AthleteDISC for athletes
- CoachDISC for coaches
- Sports ManagerDISC for sport administrators and managers
- Team8 DISC for business and general workplace use
- TeacherDISC for educators
- TacticalDISC for military, first-responder, or operational personnel.
All Team8 People DISC Profiles are available for immediate purchase through the Shop page.
Why choose Team8 People DISC Profiles over other DISC providers?
Team8 People’s DISC Profiles are different from many other DISC providers in three important ways.
First, they are context-specific.
- AthleteDISC speaks to how athletes train, compete, and communicate.
- CoachDISC speaks to how coaches coach.
- TeacherDISC speaks to the classroom and staffroom.
- TacticalDISC speaks to high-stakes operational work.
- Generic DISC assessments often use the same report language and examples for every respondent.
Second, Team8 People’s DISC Profiles are validated by the Assessment Standards Institute (ASI) for reliability and construct validity. They are continuously refined by the team that owns and develops the tools.
Third, Team8 People includes a suite of additional capabilities at no additional cost, including:
- AI Coach
- Team Dynamics reporting
- Summary Graphs
- One-Page Summaries
- Observer Feedback
- DISC Collaboration reporting
- DISC Career Management reporting
- co-branded accounts
- multi-language access.
Many DISC providers charge separately for team reports, facilitation resources, marketing materials, or additional reporting outputs. Team8 People includes them so the DISC Profile is the start of the work, not the end.
How is Team8 People's DISC different from Everything DiSC, DiSC Personality, or other DISC providers?
Team8 People’s DISC is a distinct, proprietary assessment developed independently by Team8 People.
The most important difference is context. Team8 People’s DISC Profiles are designed for the environment the respondent actually works in, including:
- sport
- coaching
- business
- education
- tactical environments.
This means the report language, examples, and application guidance are directly relevant, rather than generic.
Team8 People includes facilitation and marketing resources at no additional cost to accredited consultants, whereas most competitors sell these separately as post-course add-ons.
Team8 People also includes additional capabilities and account features that many providers charge for separately, including:
- Team Dynamics reporting
- Observer Feedback
- Summary Reports
- co-branded accounts
- report administration options
- AI Coach.
What is included with a Team8 People DISC Profile?
Team8 People DISC Profiles include access to a suite of additional capabilities at no additional cost.
These include:
- the AI Coach
- Team Dynamics reporting
- Summary Graphs
- Team One-Page Summaries
- Observer Feedback
- DISC Career Management reporting
- DISC Collaboration reporting
- co-branded accounts
- multi-language access.
Does Team8 People charge extra for Team DISC reports?
No. Team8 People does not charge extra for Team Dynamics reporting when it is used alongside Team8 People DISC Profiles.
Team8 People’s Team Dynamic Report shows:
- the behavioral composition of a group
- predictable strengths
- potential friction points
- the collective culture created by the team’s behavioral styles.
Can Team8 People DISC Profiles be co-branded for my organization or consulting practice?
Yes! Team8 People can provide co-branded accounts for organizations, consultants, teams, and client accounts at no additional cost.
Co-branding can include your logo on the login page and on every report, so the DISC Profile experience can look and feel like it is coming from your organization or consulting practice.
Can my organization receive the DISC reports before participants?
Yes. Team8 People accounts can be configured so completed DISC reports are sent to the account holder or administrator before being distributed to participants.
This is useful when reports need to be reviewed before:
- a workshop
- a debrief
- a team session
- internal distribution.
This function is available for organizations, teams, consultants, and account holders that want more control over report administration.
Can I buy Team8 People DISC Profiles online?
Yes. Team8 People DISC Profiles is available for immediate purchase through the Shop page.
DISC Profiles can be bought individually or in bulk. For individual purchases, you'll receive an assessment link by email within minutes of purchase, and your report is generated the moment you finish the questionnaire. For bulk purchases, access is provided by our team within the next business days following purchase.
How long does a DISC Profile take to complete?
Most respondents complete a Team8 People DISC Profile in 10-12 minutes. Reports are generated instantly once the questionnaire is completed.
Do I need training to use DISC?
No. Training is not required if you are purchasing a DISC Profile for personal use or self-development.
If you want to use DISC professionally with clients, teams, students, athletes, or employees, Team8 People recommends completing DISC Accreditation.
Accreditation helps you facilitate debriefs, run team sessions, interpret reports, and apply DISC with confidence.
How old does the athlete, coach, or someone else have to be to do your assessment?
We usually recommend that individuals are over the age of 16 years old. This is primarily driven by their understanding of the English language and ensuring that they understand the questions in the assessment. The assessment is comprehensive, yet simple but it does require a fair understanding of English. Younger athletes may be able to use the assessment but they will need an understanding of the English language the same as the average 16 year old. Please feel free to contact us to assist you further.
Are your DISC Profile surveys only available in English, or other languages too?
We currently have the assessments survey and reports available in in English and Hungarian.
We also do have the CoachDISC Profile in Japanese in both survey and report.
We also offer the option to complete the survey in different languages but the reports are generated in English. The languages currently available to complete the survey in are: English, Japanese, Hungarian, Spanish (Mexico), French (France), German (Germany) and Russian. (i.e. the survey questions are completed in German but the report is generated in English). Within our English survey, we do have the function that if you don’t understand a word that if you hover your mouse of it, you’re provided with a few other words that mean the same.
If you have any further questions regarding the languages of our assessments, please feel welcome to contact us.
What is the difference between DISC and personality tests like MBTI?
DISC measures observable behavioral preferences: how you tend to act, communicate, and respond in specific situations.
Personality assessments like MBTI (Myers-Briggs) measure underlying psychological preferences.
DISC is generally:
- faster to complete
- easier to apply in team settings
- more directly connected to communication, leadership, coaching, and performance conversations.
Both frameworks have value, but DISC is more practical for team development work.
What is the AI Coach?
The AI Coach is a Team8 People tool included in the cost of our DISC Profiles, that allows account administrators to ask questions about anyone who has completed a Team8 People DISC Profile or EI 360 in their account, and receive tailored, DISC or EI informed coaching support in conversational language.
It is designed to extend the value of the DISC Profile or EI 360 Report beyond the debrief.
Users can:
- ask how to prepare for a difficult conversation
- adapt their communication for someone with a different style
- prepare for a high-stakes meeting
- navigate change within a team.
The AI Coach provides practical guidance based on the user’s own DISC style and if you would like to learn more about this tool, please Contact us.
Who can access the AI Coach?
Account administrators can access the AI Coach through their online account for anyone who has completed a Team8 People DISC Profile or EI 360. Access continues for as long as the account is active.

Everything needed to start using DISC in practice is included, rather than sold separately as a post-course add-on.
Do I have to pay extra for facilitation resources or marketing materials after the course?
No. The Team8 People DISC Accreditation fee includes:
- facilitation resources
- session guides
- debrief templates
- training materials
- marketing resources.
Some DISC providers sell these resources separately after training. Team8 People includes them as part of the accreditation pathway so practitioners can start applying DISC immediately.
Is there an annual DISC reaccreditation fee or licence renewal?
No. Team8 People does not charge annual reaccreditation fees, license renewal fees, or per-profile royalties.
Once practitioners are accredited, they remain accredited. Accredited practitioners only pay for the DISC Profiles they use.
How is Team8 People's DISC Accreditation better than other providers?
Team8 People’s DISC Accreditation is built around tailored one-on-one training, practical application, and long-term support, rather than a generic group course.
Accreditation is tailored to your intended use, previous experience, and the practice or program you are building. You work through the training across six one-on-one video consultations with Bo Hanson, giving you space to apply the learning between sessions and receive support as you go.
Unlike other providers, everything you need to start using DISC is included, including:
- DISC assessments
- training resources
- facilitation materials
- marketing support
- co-branded account and reports
- PowerPoints
- email templates
- platform training
- wholesale pricing
- ongoing mentoring.
Team8 People also does not charge annual reaccreditation fees or hidden licensing fees, so the accreditation is designed as a supported long-term partnership rather than a recurring subscription.
How long does DISC Accreditation take?
Team8 People’s DISC Accreditation is delivered through six one-hour training consultations.
The sessions are scheduled around your availability and are usually completed over 4-6 weeks, depending on:
- your schedule
- intended use
- how much time you want between sessions to apply the learning.
The spaced learning format allows you to build confidence gradually, rather than trying to complete everything in one or two full days.
Can two people complete DISC Accreditation together?
Yes. If two practitioners are from the same team or organization and complete the accreditation together, Team8 People can deliver the pathway as a two-on-one accreditation for the same price as one-on-one.
This can work well for colleagues who want to build a shared understanding of DISC, use the same tools, and apply the accreditation within the same practice, program, or organization.
Larger, small-group, or cohort options can also be discussed with Team8 People. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Is DISC Accreditation delivered online or in-person?
Team8 People’s DISC Accreditation is normally delivered online through one-on-one video conference sessions.
This is the standard delivery model and allows practitioners to complete the accreditation from anywhere while still receiving tailored, individual support. In-person delivery is available on request for organizations or cohorts. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Who is DISC Accreditation for?
DISC Accreditation is designed for anyone who wants to use DISC as a repeated part of their professional practice, whether with:
- clients
- employees
- teams
- students
- athletes
- leaders.
I am already DISC Accredited. Can I use Team8 People DISC Profiles?
Yes. Facilitators and consultants already accredited in DISC can transition to using Team8 People DISC Profiles through our supportive onboarding program.
This is designed for practitioners who already understand DISC and want to add the specialized Team8 People reports, and additional capabilities to their work, as well as benefit from our tiered pricing structure and no ongoing fees. Contact us to learn more about the process and how we recognize pre-existing DISC accreditation.
Do I need any prior qualifications to become DISC Accredited?
No formal prerequisite qualification is required to complete Team8 People’s DISC Accreditation. The accreditation pathway is designed to be accessible to professionals from a range of backgrounds.
Practitioners who are new to DISC or behavioral assessment are brought up to speed during the course, while experienced practitioners can focus more heavily on application, facilitation, and integration into their existing work.
